First Official Set Picture from Season 3 of Falling Skies
We are still over nine months away from the premiere of season three of Falling Skies, the cast and crew are hard at work filming the new season.

TNT released the photo, on left, of Conner Jessup (Ben Mason), Drew Roy (Hal Mason), Noah Wyle (Tom Mason), and Maxim Knight (Matt Mason).  We see a new hair style for Wyle and the growth of the young Knight.

The Falling Skies Cast will keep you updated here, on Facebook and on Twitter during this very long hiatus.  We also plan to have a monthly podcast during the break.  Call or text us at (773) 35SKIES or email your feedback to  fallingskiescast@gmail.com.

Noah Wyle Talks About Falling Skies - Minor Spoilers

I had the opportunity to be a part of a teleconference with Noah Wyle yesterday. He gave us lots of insights into TNT's Falling Skies.  You can hear the audio from the interview on episode 6 of the Falling Skies Cast.

I was never given the floor from the moderator, but I was able to be a part of a great time with Noah Wyle.  One thing that was not directly addressed, was how deeply Wyle is involved in the decision making process with Falling Skies.  He makes several comments that sounds like he is involved with scripting, story decisions and even what elements should be cut out.

The first question came from Patrick Douglas with Great Falls Tribune.  Who asked Noah to talk about how Falling Skies picks up in the thick of the madness instead of building up to it.

Noah Wyle: Yes, it’s sort of a typical story telling in the sense that we don’t start with everyday life going on business as usual and then suddenly everybody’s eyes turn to the heavens and say, what’s that coming in towards our planet.
We do, we pick up six months into what has been a devastating alien invasion and meet our characters already in a pretty high state of disarray which is kind of exciting storytelling because it allows you the opportunity to fill in the back story through episodic storytelling and also opens up the possibility of being able to track back in time down the road if it seems (dramatically) appropriate.

Falling Skies Paley Center Screening and Panel

One month after the premiere of Falling Skies, part of the cast and creative team will appear at the Paley Center for a special Falling Skies Screening and Panel on  July 19, 2011 at 7 pm.  The panel includes Noah Wyle ("Tom Mason"), Moon Bloodgood ("Anne Glass"), Drew Roy ("Hal Mason"), Sarah Carter ("Margaret") along withe Executive Producers Greg Beeman, Mark Verheiden, Justin Falvey, and Darryl Frank.  Tickets are $15 for members of the Paley Center and $20 for the general public.

The Paley Center's Description of the event:  "Perhaps you’ve heard something about this little upcoming series? From executive producer Steven Spielberg comes TNT’s highly, highly anticipated Falling Skies, which follows a resistance movement born in the ashes of an alien attack that has left most of the world incapacitated. At the center of the movement, dubbed the 2nd Mass because it is headquartered in Boston, is Tom Mason (Noah Wyle), a history professor whose family has been torn apart—his wife killed and one of his three sons captured.Falling Skies is set to premiere on June 19. The Paley Center will preview an episode, followed by a Q&A with the cast and creative team."

You can visit the Official site at: http://www.tnt.tv/fallingskies. There is not much content at the moment, but you can sign-up for e-mail updates and a forum. I recently posted the first thread and post about the Comic Con Panel on their forum.

"From executive producer Steven Spielberg, Falling Skies stars Noah Wyle as a former college professor who becomes the leader of a group of soldiers and civilians struggling against an occupying alien force.

Moon Bloodgood co-stars as Anne Glass, a therapist who works with the surviving children to help them cope with the traumatic situation. The series also stars Drew Roy as Hal and Maxim Knight as Matt, Tom's two sons; and Seychelle Gabriel as Lourdes, an orphaned teenager who helps run the group's commissary."

Spielberg's Fallen Skies on TNT

Episode 1.01 - Pilot
The pilot episode of the Fallen Skies Cast has been uploaded to the new podcast feed.  Subscribe in iTunes.  If you listen to this in future, please remember that this was recorded over a year before the show premiered on TNT, and the first episode about the pilot episode of Fallen Skies will be several podcast episodes later.

For well over a year now, information has slowly made it's way to the public about the upcoming Steven Spielberg's TNT sci-fi show Fallen Skies. For many months, the show was only known as an untitled project before the name Fallen Skies was attached to the project.

Noah Wylie stars as Tom Mason. Noah Wylie is known best as Dr. John Carter on E.R. on NBC and Flynn Carsen, the title character of the TNT movie series The Librarian.

Moon Bloodgood also stars in the series. She is best known from her role in Terminator Salvation as Blair Williams.

Other notable actors include: Drew Roy who plays Hal Mason. Roy is known to viewers of ABC Family from appearances in Greek and Lincoln Heights. Seychelle Gabriel stars as Lourdes. Gabriel plays Princess Yue in the upcoming M. Night Shyamalan's The Last Airbender.

The pilot was written by Robert Rodat, who was most notably the writer of Steven Spielberg's Saving Private Ryan.

Fallen Skies Coming 2011 to TNT

Fallen Skies Coming 2011 to TNT

Steven Spielberg's post-apocalyptic world in the aftermath of alien invaders starring Noah Wylie “Fallen Skies” will debut in 2011.

“Fallen Skies” starring Noah Wyle, Moon Bloodgood, Jessy Schram, Seychelle Gabriel and Maxim Knight, with Steven Spielberg producing.

The pilot was written by Robert Rodat (“Saving Private Ryan”), and will follow human resistance fighters led by Wylie as fight back against the alien invaders.

I've heard that the resistance will be hiding out in the mountains and strike back at the invaders, which reminds me of the classic 80's movie "Red Dawn" with the Russians replaced by aliens.

Jimmy in GA
